Viking Sigrun, launched in 2019, is a sleek 5000 GT explorer-style ship designed to ferry up to 190 guests in 95 comfortable cabins across four decks. Named after the legendary Valkyrie Sigrun, the vessel blends modern maritime comfort with Norse-inspired design, offering a seamless blend of adventurous exploration and refined leisure. At 135 meters in length, the ship provides generous public spaces including an elegant observation lounge with panoramic seas, a sun deck, and a nautically themed dining room serving Nordic cuisine. The onboard experience emphasizes wholesome activity and cultural immersion: a well-equipped gym, a relaxing spa and sauna, a heated indoor pool, and daily enrichment programs such as talks on Norse legends, Viking folklore, and port-rich itineraries. Guests can participate in cooking demonstrations featuring traditional Nordic dishes, join hands-on workshops, or enjoy evening performances that celebrate maritime heritage. The ship's 95 cabins and 50 crew ensure attentive service, while adapters are provided for EU 220V plugs to keep devices charged. Revolutionary in concept and design, this spacious outdoor seating area at the bow of the ship is perfect for having a casual meal al fresco, meeting friends for drinks or reading a book, all while enjoying breathtaking views and basking in the fresh air.
Sun Deck & Sky Bar
Enjoy sunshine and fresh air while you take in 360-degree views of the scenery. Stand at the railings or relax in a comfortable deck chair. Some of the seating has a canopy for those who prefer shade. The sun deck is adjacent to the Sky Bar and there is an access way to the bridge.
The Bar
Located in the Lounge, the bar is lively and inviting - a gathering place for guests to view the scenery, have a drink and catch up on the day with friends.
Library
Located in the heart of the Upper deck adjacent to the Aquavit Terrace, the library has comfortable seating and excellent reading light. Our ships’ libraries carry approximately 80 books, in various languages but mostly English, and several games such as chess, backgammon and playing cards. Pick up a magazine or board game and enjoy it in the lounge just steps away.
