Since launching in 1995 and undergoing a thoughtful refit in 2022, the American West invites guests to relive the nostalgia of classic paddlewheeler travel along the Columbia and Snake Rivers, all while enjoying modern comfort and amenities. This elegant river paddlewheeler is a 2100 gross ton vessel, about 71 meters long and 15 meters wide, carrying 110 guests in 70 cabins (including 2 wheelchair accessible cabins) served by a crew of 47 across four decks. Inside, a serene color palette, luxurious textiles, refined furnishings, and sophisticated artwork create a timeless ambience that honors river history from the staterooms to the lounges and dining rooms. Many staterooms feature private balconies with unobstructed views of the Pacific Northwest landscapes. The elegant restaurant presents region-inspired menus crafted by master chefs. Onboard activities abound: soak up the scenery from the sun deck, try a putt on the ship's green, or mingle in the spacious lounges, ending your day with a nightly cocktail party accompanied by live musical performances. For practical comfort, the ship provides US 2-pin 110V electrical outlets; adapters are not provided, so guests should plan accordingly.
