American Independence

American Cruise Lines

Ship Overview

American Independence offers an intimate, enriching experience along the East Coast, with a guest capacity of 90 that keeps journeys personable and engaging. Its compact 226-foot frame slides through narrow rivers and shallow bays where larger ships cannot tread, unlocking close-up views of marshlands, historic towns, and scenic waterways. Launched in 2010 and refreshed in 2023, the ship blends comfort with elegance, featuring lightly colored interiors and generous living spaces. Public areas are ideal for socializing or quiet reflection: spacious lounges host cocktails, evening entertainment, or an afternoon lecture while offering panoramic views of the passing scenery, and the dining room serves a regional menu that changes daily. Accommodations are crafted for comfort and flexibility: standard rooms exceed 250 square feet, with second- and third-deck cabins offering private balconies, and suites providing unprecedented space and privacy; a wheelchair-accessible cabin ensures inclusive travel. Onboard amenities include stabilization for a smoother ride, a sun deck for basking in sea breezes, a putting green, and a fitness center to stay active between excursions. When it comes to activities, guests can enjoy informative talks, scenic cruises, and a variety of shore excursions, all designed to deepen your appreciation of America’s waterways while maintaining a relaxed, home-away-from-home atmosphere. Power is provided via US two-pin 110V outlets, and adapters are not provided, so travelers should plan accordingly.
